Mr and Mrs Williamson, Easter 2013
From Scottish Wedding Directory Forum (26th oct 12)
We got married by Gerrie on September 15th and she was FANTASTIC. We went to see her once when we were looking for a celebrant and second time shortly before actual day. Mostly emails between those meetings. We wanted to meet any celebrant that we were thinking about before our final decision, we met Gerrie first and never looked back.... It was an instant connection. She will ask you a bit about yourself and if you have some ideas about your ceremony already she would like to know that. She will explain a bit about the humanist ceremonies and you could include as much or as little of it to suit your needs (we only mentioned HSS once during the ceremony). Once you are fully booked with Gerrie she will send you the selection of readings/vows/beginnings/endings but there is no obligation to use any of it (we didn't). You can write your ceremony to your liking but Gerrie will ask to have a look at it and then you could discuss any changes/suggestions but that's not going to be during the first meeting.
Hope that helps. Gerrie is absolutely amazing and you couldn't have chosen a better celebrant. She will put you at ease very quickly

Gerrie says......Thank you! The communal singing "if you are happy and you know it.. " almost stole the show from the Star Wars posters!

Hi Gerrie,
We just wanted to say Thank you for conducting our ceremony!! It was just
great!
We're sorry we never got to say thank you after the ceremony, we got swept
away afterwards!
I was pretty nervous initially but found you a calming influence!!
We had a fabulous day and thank you for making our ceremony so memorable
for us!

Gerrie
I just wanted to send a note to try and say something that will come
close to being able to thank you for our day.
I don't really know where to start - from the initial contact we knew we
had found the right person to perform our ceremony.
In the run up to the big day and planning the ceremony was not only fun
but made us really think about not only why we wanted to be married but why we
felt the way we did about each other and that confirmed to us both we were 100%
sure which is so important in this day and age.
On the day it's self - it was relaxed and informal without being
flippant there was no doubt about the seriousness of what we were doing. To say
it was personal would be an understatement - it was magical emotional happy sad
but mainly magical.
Every single guest commented on the ceremony saying how amazing it was
and how they wished there ceremony had been so personal and magical and I'm sure
they will be talking about it for years to come.
I know for me the memory will warm my heart forever. You made it so -
it wouldn't have been what it was without you - we honestly can't thank you
enough ever as there are simply no words
thank you times a million
Much love
